More stable than a flying wing because of the Jet Cat-like setback horizontal stabilizer tail which adds remarkable pitch stability and the wing airfoils are thick and symmetric for outstanding inverted flight speed and handling. Durable EPO foam construction with a removable resilient plastic molded nose that can be easily pressed back into shape if crushed. Carbon Fiber tail boom spars (embedded): 3.9" (10cm) long by .08" (2mm) diameter. These may be removed and replaced with stiffer rods as suggested below for flying weights above 11oz.
This is a DIY ARF with no instructions provided other than what is written here, so you should be experienced choosing and integrating a 2S-4S LiPo powered motor/pusher prop configuration.
If its your first Park Jet or you want a slower more relaxed flying jet, choose a prop/motor/battery configuration to give a total flying weight around 10-11oz.
If you want a speedy Park Jet, plan on a flying weight around 11-13oz with a 3S lipo and 3mm CF tubing (not included) to reinforce the underside of the tail booms.
If you have about a circular mile of open flying space and excellent eyesight, and want to push the 100mph threshold, use a 4S lipo and 4mm CF tubing (not included) to reinforce the underside of the tail booms.
Consider using a gyro for roll stability which makes it easier to launch and fly in wind. A gyro with in-flight gain control is recommended for high speed flight.
The balance point is located in the center of the finger grip well (1.75" forward of the wing servo wire channels). The battery compartment has a lot of length for balanced battery placement. Smaller LiPos may be attached with velcro in the forward portion of the nose cone to balance the lightest flight configurations.
The inside distance between the booms in the prop plane is 7.15", so up to a 6" prop is fine in all configs, a 6.5" prop will fit, but the booms should be stiffened to reduce boom deflections.
The motor bracket will accommodate brushless out-runner and inrunner motors up to 28mm diameter. The open top of the bracket will allow for an out-runner with up to a 20mm length. Maximum inrunner motor length is 38mm.
